Award-winning MultiZone Audio Receivers, Control Solutions and Integration Solutions to be on display at AVAD and Almo Pro A/V booths

MIAMI, Fla. – May 27, 2010 – Niles Audio Corporation, The First Name In Custom Installation®, announced it will join distributor partners, AVAD and Almo Pro A/V, to showcase a complete array of commercial-grade loudspeakers, A/V systems and integration solutions at InfoComm 2010 held June 9-11 in Las Vegas. Attendees to InfoComm 2010 can experience working demos of Niles’ custom installation solutions, including the award-winning ZR-6 MultiZone Receiver, ZR-4 MultiZone Receiver, TS-Pro Wall-Mount Color Touchsreen, MS220 High Fidelity Wideband IR Sensor and more in booths C5686 (AVAD) and N1125 (Almo Pro A/V) during the show.

“Niles has built a strong reputation for delivering high performance, application specific products that are perfect for commercial applications of any scale,” said Mike Detmer, vice president of sale and marketing for Niles. “Together with our partners, AVAD and Almo Pro A/V, we will present commercial integrators with the wide array of custom installation products and solutions offered by Niles at InfoComm 2010,” added Detmer.

Perfect for commercial applications such as bars and restaurants, Niles’ ZR-6 MultiZone Receiver is a six-source, six-zone distributed audio receiver outfitted with features that today’s multizone customers demand most often—including One-Touch to EntertainmentTM, Plug-and-Play iPod® integration, a built-in AM/FM tuner and weather-resistant keypads. The ZR-6 is expandable up to 18 audio zones for high quality entertainment throughout a light commercial installation.

For enhanced system functionality, ZR-6 customers may choose from a variety of control solutions, including weather-resistant keypads and the TS-Pro, a 3.5” color touchscreen that provides elegant system control and metadata information. The easy-to-use TS-Pro features convenient hard keys that control frequently used functions such as volume and power on/off. Easily configured without a laptop computer, the system integrator simply connects the TS-Pro to the ZR-6 and the system programming is automatically loaded. Also, system changes made in one TS-Pro are automatically populated to all other TS-Pros in the system.

Niles ZR-4 MultiZone Receiver is a four-source, four-zone distributed audio system and is offered as an all-in-one package that includes everything needed to install the system in a light commercial setting. The kit includes the ZR-4 MultiZone Receiver, four Solo®-4 IR weather-resistant keypads, a hand-held learning remote control, three infrared MicroFlashers® and rack mount ears with mounting hardware. By combining all the necessary electronics required for a multizone distributed audio system into a single package, Niles vastly simplifies the sales, ordering and installation process for commercial integrators.

The MS220’s high fidelity wideband amplification optimally amplifies and preserves IR signal integrity and eliminates poor IR performance by accurately passing the low duty-cycle, high data rate IR signals found in many new source components, including AT&T U-verse systems, HD cable boxes and satellite receivers. This new amplification is paired with Niles’ patent-pending Universal Noise Suppression technology, which implements more than 10 different methodologies to ensure effective and reliable operation in a multitude of “noisy” environments.

For product questions and installation assistance, commercial AV integrators can contact Niles’ Techincal Support at 1-800-BUY-HIFI. For more information on Niles and its offering of commercial AV solutions, please visit http://www.nilesaudio.com.

Niles Audio Corporation, The First Name In Custom Installation®, announced today that its award-winning IntelliControl ICS system now offers dealers the ability to configure multiple home theaters within a system thanks to a significant update to its IntelliFile3 Software Build. The latest IntelliControl ICS software update allows Niles Home Theater Main System Units (HT-MSU) to be assigned to specific audio zones of a connected GXR2 Modular MultiZone Receiver, creating a new “Theater Zone.” This will enable custom installers to route all connected GXR2 sources to a home theater receiver over a single stereo RCA cable. IntelliControl ICS’ updated system architecture supports up to 30 audio/video zones, including up to four “Theater Zones,” while offering end-users reliable and intuitive control options such as the iRemoteTS. Providing even greater flexibility, the software update allows installers to assign a single iRemoteTS, an easy-to-use wireless system remote control with color touch screen, to control all connected home theaters, or assign a dedicated iRemoteTS for each home theater.

“This major update to IntelliControl ICS software provides Niles dealers with the ability to support up to four home theaters and 26 additional audio/video zones per system,” said Mike Detmer, vice president of sales and marketing for Niles. “Multiple home theater capabilities, as found in IntelliFile3 Software Build 141, enable dealers to generate additional revenues by retrofitting existing systems and designing new systems with enhanced customer appeal,” added Detmer.

To help support dealers with these updates to IntelliControl ICS, Niles will hold a series of comprehensive IntelliFile3 training webinars featuring information on how to configure and program multiple home theaters, as well as other functional improvements to further reduce IntelliControl ICS programming time. Additionally, Niles will send representatives to locations throughout the US and Canada to provide on-site instruction on the new IntelliFile3 Software Build 141.

Further assisting dealers with IntelliControl ICS systems, Niles has introduced a new, comprehensive IntelliControl ICS System Design Guide to illustrate applications and simplify the design and integration of one or multiple home theaters into an IntelliControl ICS system.  Both the design guide and the enhanced IntelliFile3 software version 141 are available at http://www.intellicontrol.com.

Niles Audio Corporation, The First Name in Custom Installation®, has announced its CAT-5 HDMI Baluns have been named the recipient of a 2009 Exc!te Award by CustomRetailer magazine. Niles CAT-5 HDMI Baluns provide system integrators with a reliable and repeatable connectivity solution for extending high definition sources throughout the home using cost-effective and easy-to-install CAT-5 or CAT-6 cable. Available in both wall-mount and component model versions, the new baluns feature a flexible design architecture to ensure a professional, cosmetically appealing installation.

Niles’ HDMI baluns convert high-definition audio and video signals to a balanced circuit topology so the signals can be transmitted over long runs of low-cost CAT-5 or CAT-6 cable. Operating in pairs, a system requires a transmitter balun and a receiver balun, with the transmitter located near the source component and the receiver near a flat-panel display. One of the unique features of the Niles system is that it requires only a single power supply, which can be connected to either the transmitter or receiver.

“In developing Niles CAT-5 HDMI Baluns, we sought out to create a line of baluns that struck the perfect balance of simplicity, flexibility, reliability and functionality,” said Mike “Sparky” Detmer, vice president of sales and marketing for Niles. “Niles CAT-5 HDMI Baluns provide a reliable solution for distributing HDMI signals, including those found in Blu-ray players and satellite receivers, over cost-effective CAT-5 cable. We are honored to have CustomRetailer recognize the benefit this line provides custom installers,” Detmer added.

Sold individually, the transmitters and receivers are available in wall-mount and component models so the installer can specify the optimum solution for any location. Niles HDMI CAT-5 Baluns utilize dual runs of CAT-5 or CAT-6 cabling and support HDMI signal transmission of different resolutions up to 200 feet.

CustomRetailer’s Exc!te Awards honor products that best exemplify the excitement and growth of the custom installation and consumer electronics industries. Winners are chosen by CustomRetailer’s editors and contributors, as well as selected retailers and industry observers. The 2009 Exc!te Award winners were announced on September 10 at a special awards reception at CEDIA EXPO 2009 in Atlanta, Ga.

Niles Audio Corporation, The First Name in Custom Installation®, is now shipping the TS-Pro wall-mount color touchscreen: an advanced, customizable control solution for Niles’ award-winning ZR-6 MultiZone Receiver. The easy-to-use TS-Pro features a high-contrast, 3.5” color touchscreen with a crisp, easy-to-read graphical user interface (GUI) and convenient hard keys that control frequently used functions such as volume and power on/off.

Easily configured without a laptop computer, the system integrator simply connects the TS-Pro to the
ZR-6 and the system programming is automatically loaded. Also, system changes made in one TS-Pro are automatically populated to all other TS-Pros in the system.

“The TS-Pro is both simple to install and easy to use, delivering a perfect blend of functionality and flexibility in the form of an elegant, color touchscreen control,” said Frank Sterns, president of Niles Audio. “We designed the TS-Pro to be a true plug-and-play upgrade solution for Niles ZR-6 MultiZone System users that desire a richer, more contemporary control interface,” Sterns added.

The TS-Pro is available now for a MSRP of $799.95.

The user experience of the TS-Pro is enhanced with a metadata display for a connected iPod®, station information for the ZR-6’s built-in AM/FM radio, plus the navigation and control of up to four additional sources. The user can also conveniently control any zone of the ZR-6 system from any TS-Pro touchscreen, and each zone can be custom named (Living Room, Den, etc.) to further simplify operation. Also featured is the ability to display custom images to personalize the TS-Pro. Use a picture of the family, kids, or favorite vacation spot for residential users, while commercial users can display their company logo or a marketing message. A built-in IR sensor, plus an additional connection for an external IR sensor, ensures reliable, convenient wireless remote control of connected sources.

The sleek, low-profile design of the TS-Pro complements any surrounding environment. White, almond and bone faceplates are included with each unit. Black and silver faceplates are available as options. The TS-Pro’s rich, full-color touchscreen features five unique color schemes to match any room’s décor or user’s taste.

With the introduction of the TS-Pro, Niles adds to its selection of control solutions for the ZR-6 MultiZone Receiver, which includes the weather-resistant Solo-6MD, a single-gang keypad with metadata display; the Solo-6IR, an elegant single-gang keypad; and the Numeric-6P, an easy-to-use numeric keypad that works in conjunction with the Solo-6IR.
