KanexPro Releases Ultra-Fast HDMI Matrix Switchers with 4K

4×4 and 8×8 switchers with HDCP 2.2 Matrix Switchers with 4K/60Hz

Brea, Calif. – November 19, 2015 – KanexPro, an industry-leading provider of connectivity solutions to the IT and A/V markets, announces the latest addition to their lineup of reliable and innovative solutions – The new ultra-fast HDMI matrix switchers HDMX44-4K and HDMX88-4K featuring 4K/60Hz with HDCP2.2

These HDCP 2.2 matrix switchers with 4K/60Hz are available in combinations of 4×4 and 8×8 .The 4×4 HDMI matrix switcher includes four inputs and four outputs with audio de-embedding and the latest HDCP 2.2 specs and supported video resolutions up to 4096×2160 at 60Hz. The 8×8 version consists of eight inputs and eight outputs with the same specs above. The featuring switcher provides a lightning fast speed time between switching of less than 0.2 seconds. The HDMI matrix switchers are ideal for a multitude of commercial applications including military, medical, worship centers and government audio-video platforms where immediate and dependable HDMI switching and distribution of 4K video is a requirement. These ultra-fast switchers are controlled entirely via RS-232, IR and web based GUI using Ethernet allowing integrators to switch, control and matrix directly from a touch panel or computer.

Both HD switchers provide four or eight additional audio ports via S/PDIF connectors to supports de-embedding from HDMI and expedient firmware upgrade through micro USB ports. The switchers transmit 4K x 2K at 60Hz signal up to 15 meters and features easy installation through its rack-mounting design.

TiO System Earns Stellar Accreditation at CEDIA EXPO

Home automation system wins numerous awards and recognition

AVAD Nashville Contributes to Local Food Bank During the Holiday Season

Dealers earn vendor discounts through online and in-store donations

AVAD Nashville partners with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to raise awareness to fight hunger and help supply food for families in need during the holiday season. Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee is one of the largest and most comprehensive food banks and distribution centers nationwide. Last year, Second Harvest distributed more than 29 million pounds of food and providing more than 24 million meals of food to hungry children, families and seniors throughout the 46-county service area.

The HDMMX Modular Matrix Switcher system is the ultimate answer to universal switching needs for virtually any setting and application, ranging from hospitals to classrooms.

The KanexPro HDMMX Modular Matrix Series Switchers provide 4K Ultra HD video switching and transmission up to 10.2 Gbps on the backplane resulting in faster switching time. The switchers are available in four configurable frames for I/O sizes from 8×8 to 16×16, 32×32, and 64×64 to meet the application needs of today’s AV switching and distribution systems.

The KanexPro 4K UDH HDMMX Modular Matrix Switchers can be controlled via IR, RS232, or TCP/IP connections and offer a variety of sizes based on application need:

  • The 8×8 has two input slots and two output slots with each modular input or output card supporting up to four device connections
  • The 16×16 has four input slots and four output slots with each modular input or output card supporting up to four device connections
  • The 32×32 has eight input slots and eight output slots with each modular input or output card supporting up to eight device connections
  • The 64×64 has sixteen input slots and sixteen output slots with each modular input or output card supporting up to sixteen device connections

The modular input cards include connections for HDMI, DVI, VGA, HDBaseT (with RS232 and bi-directional wide-band IR), fiber optic and analog video with digital scaling via HD15 (VGA-UXGA, RGBHV, RGBS, RGsB, RsGsBs, component video, S-video and composite video). The modular output cards include connections for HDMI, SDI, DVI, VGA, HDBaseT and fiber optic.

Stereo audio embedding is supported on the HDMI input cards to allow analog audio to be inserted into the digital signal. Stereo audio can also be de-embedded using the HDMI or HDBaseT output cards. Advanced EDID management restricts sources to output only stereo audio while emulating the native video data from the attached displays. This system allows analog audio to be switched with the paired digital video, eliminating the requirement for an additional audio matrix switcher.

The clear button caps provide readable text on the front panel which can be customized for each installation. With control options including IR, RS232, and TCP/IP, a wide range of third party control systems can be easily integrated. The ten programmable presets provide an efficient means of configuring the video and audio distribution for common usage patterns.
